New Issue: Citigroup sells $1.29 million bearish barrier securities on S&P 500

Buffalo, N.Y., Dec. 12 – Citigroup Global Markets Holdings Inc. priced $1.29 million of 0% bearish barrier securities due Jan. 23, 2025 linked inversely to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Citigroup Inc. guarantees the notes.

Investors will gain 3% for each 1% decline of the index, subject to a maximum payout of par plus 34%, if the index’s final level is less than its initial level.

If the index finishes flat or gains no more than 20%, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% gain of the index from its initial level.
