Citigroup to redeem $2.15 billion floaters, 2.7% notes due 2022

Buffalo, N.Y., Sept. 12 – Citigroup Inc. plans to redeem all of its outstanding $1.75 billion 2.7% notes due 2022 (ISIN: US172967LQ21) and all of its outstanding $400 million floating-rate notes due 2022 (ISIN: US172967LR04), according to a press release on Monday.

Both series of notes will be redeemed at par plus interest on Sept. 27.

Citibank, NA is the paying agent.

Citigroup said the redemption is consistent with its liability management strategy and reflects its ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of its funding and capital structure.

The financial services company is based in New York.
