New Issue: RBC sells $2.78 million capped buffer gears tied to basket of 10 stocks

Columbus, Ohio, Feb. 9 – Royal Bank of Canada priced $2.78 million of 0% capped buffer gears due Feb. 10, 2020 linked to a basket of 10 equally weighted stocks, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The basket stocks are Apple Inc., Adobe Systems Inc., Amazon.com, Inc., Cisco Systems, Inc., Facebook, Inc., Alphabet Inc., Intel Corp., Microsoft Corp., Netflix, Inc. and Nvidia Corp.

The payout at maturity will be par of $10 plus double any basket gain, up to a maximum return of 21.8%.

Investors will receive par if the basket falls by up to 10% and lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 10%.
