Fitch affirms Xcel

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed the ratings for Xcel Energy, Inc. and its subsidiary companies Northern States Power-Minnesota, Northern States Power-Wisconsin and Public Service Co. of Colorado.

Fitch said that it has also affirmed the ratings for instruments issued of the subsidiaries.

The outlook for all is stable.

Concurrently, Fitch said it has affirmed the ratings with a negative outlook for Southwestern Public Service Co., also a subsidiary of Xcel. While it has withdrawn Xcel's BBB- preferred stock rating.

The agency said that Xcel's ratings take into consideration the company's ownership of four regulated operating subsidiaries that benefit from solid underlying credit profiles.
