Knoxville, Tenn., March 27 – Xcel Energy Inc. expects to price dollar-denominated fixed-rate senior notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes feature a make-whole call and then a par call.

Barclays, BofA Securities, Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and RBC Capital Markets Corp. are the bookrunners. Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC and KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc. are the co-managers.

Proceeds will be used to repay short-term borrowings and for other general corporate purposes.

The public utility holding company is based in Minneapolis.
