Wardman Hotel gets OK to sell property to Carmel for $152.25 million

Olympia, Wash., July 23 – Wardman Hotel Owner, LLC received court approval to sell to Carmel Partners Realty VII, LLC its property located in Washington, D.C., according to an order filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Carmel Partners’ bid includes a purchase price of $152.25 million, subject to adjustment, as previously reported.

The company had designated 2660 Woodley Road NW (DC) Owner, LLC as backup bidder.

Washington, D.C.-based Wardman Hotel is the owner of a convention hotel, formerly operated as the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. The company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Jan. 11, 2021 under case number 21-10023.
