S&P: Alliant Energy outlook positive

Standard & Poor's said it revised its outlook on Alliant Energy Corp. and Interstate Power and Light Co. to positive from stable and affirmed their corporate credit ratings at BBB+.

The outlook revision reflects the company's robust cash flow metrics throughout the recession and manageable capital spending program, the agency said. Retaining these cash flow measures along with no increased business risk could result in a higher rating.

The outlook on Wisconsin Power and Light Co. remains stable, and its corporate credit rating is A-.
