Whiting Petroleum repays $70 million of bank borrowings in quarter

New York, July 28 - Whiting Petroleum Corp. repaid $70 million of bank debt during the second quarter, reducing the balance on its credit facility to $30 million from $100 million, according to a news release.

Funds for the paydown came from discretionary cash flow.

Whiting Petroleum is a Denver-based oil and gas company.
