Moody's: VimpelCom bond at Ba3
Moody's Investors Service said it assigned Ba3 corporate family and probability of default ratings to VimpelCom Ltd., a Ba3 issuer rating to VimpelCom OJSC and a provisional Ba3 senior unsecured rating to the up to $2.5 billion proposed bond of VimpelCom Holdings BV.
The outlook is stable.
The rating actions reflect the view that the corporate family rating of VimpelCom Ltd's key operating entity VimpelCom OJSC should be repositioned at the level of its ultimate parent, the agency said.
The ratings consider the evolution of VimpelCom's group structure, with the Ukrainian company Kyivstar being consolidated with VimpelCom in April 2010 at the level of VimpelCom Ltd., the agency added.
