Russia's VimpelCom to start roadshow for $300 million five- to seven-year issue next week

By Reshmi Basu

New York, April 21 - VimpelCom plans to roadshow its $300 million five- to seven-year notes Monday through Thursday (B1/BB-) next week, according to a market source.

The roadshow will take place in Zurich on Monday, followed by London on Tuesday, then stopping in Boston on Wednesday and finishing off in New York on Thursday.

Proceeds will be used to refinance debt.

JP Morgan and UBS Investment Bank are the underwriters for the Rule 144A/Regulation S deal.

The same banks also managed the Russian communications company's offering of $250 million notes due 2005 in April 2002. It priced to yield 10.45%.
