By Toni Weeks

San Diego, Jan. 16 - Victory Park Capital announced it has hired Jordan Allen as principal and chief operating officer to oversee business operations at the firm.

Jordan has more than 20 years of experience with the hedge fund and private equity industries. He joins the firm from Man Investments USA, where he was chief operating officer, chief financial officer and co-head of the North America division. He previously was president and partner of HFR Asset Management from 2003 to 2009.

"As our business continues to experience growth, so do the needs of our infrastructure and the scope and responsibilities of our management team," managing partner Richard Levy said in a press release.

"Jordan will add an additional layer of depth by building upon the already-strong foundation we have in place for our daily operations and identifying further efficiencies to support our growth."

Added partners Matthew Ray and Brendan Carroll, "[Allen's] experience in distressed and other credit-investing platforms complements our investment strategy and high-performing team of investment professionals."

Chicago-based Victory Park is an asset management firm specializing in direct credit and control equity investing in middle-market and distressed companies.
