Verizon Communications to offer fixed- and floating-rate notes

Charlotte, N.C., July 27 – Verizon Communications Inc. is planning to offer four series of fixed-rate notes and one series of floating-rate notes, according to a 424B5 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Wednesday.

BofA Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank Securities Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. and Mizuho Securities USA Inc. are the joint bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt, to make capital investments, to fund working capital requirements or for other general corporate purposes, including financing acquisitions and refinancing existing debt.

Verizon is a New York City-based telecommunications company.
