VeriFone to seek amendment and waiver of financial delivery deadlines

New York, July 24 - VeriFone Inc. has scheduled a meeting with lenders to ask for an amendment and waiver under its credit facility that would extend financial delivery deadlines, according to an 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission Thursday.

The company is hoping to get until Aug. 31 to provide 10-Qs for Jan. 31, 2007, April 30, 2007, July 31, 2007, Jan. 31, 2008 and April 30, 2008 as well as the 10-K for Oct. 31, 2007.

JPMorgan is the administrative agent on the deal.

VeriFone is a San Jose, Calif., provider of electronic payment services.
