S&P: Venezuela outlook negative

Standard & Poor's said it revised the outlook on the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to negative from stable and affirmed its BB-/B sovereign credit rating.

"We revised the outlook because political considerations in Venezuela will, in our view, likely delay needed adjustments in economic policies given the sharp drop in international oil prices," S&P analyst Robert Sifon Arevalo said in a statement.
