VarTec reports $7.04 million operating income for March

Pittsburgh, April 20 - VarTec Telecom Inc. reported operating income of $7.04 million in March, up from $6.38 million in February, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The net loss for the month was $5.31 million, a sharp decline from a $115,000 loss the month before.
Net revenue for March was up slightly to $45.91 million for March from $45.60 million in February.
Cash as of March 31 was $22.77 million, up from $19.64 million a month earlier.
Dallas-based VarTec filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 1. Its Chapter 11 case number is 04-81694.
