S&P rates Valero notes BBB

Standard & Poor's said it assigned a BBB rating to Valero Energy Corp.'s proposed $750 million of senior unsecured notes. The corporate credit rating is BBB.

The outlook is stable.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
