University of Alabama to sell $98.59 million of general revenue bonds

New York, July 9 - The Board of Regents of the University of Alabama plans to price $98,585,000 of series 2013 general revenue bonds on July 18, according to a preliminary official statement.

The deal includes $19,445,000 of series 2013D-1 bonds and $79.14 million of series 2013D-2 bonds.

The bonds (Aa2/AA-/) will be sold competitively with Protective Securities as the financial adviser.

The 2013D-1 bonds are due 2014 to 2023, and the 2013D-2 bonds are due 2024 to 2043.

Proceeds will be used to finance the construction of a new residence hall at the university's Birmingham campus.
