Fitch rates Union Bank notes A

Fitch Ratings assigned a rating of A to Union Bank's $500 million of 2.125% senior bank notes due June 16, 2017.

The notes are part of an $8 billion shelf registration for senior and subordinated bank notes.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.
