Unilife to sell stock in public offering via Jefferies, Piper Jaffray

Company to also issue common stock in Australian private placement

Tacoma, Wash., Jan. 29 – Unilife Corp. plans to price a public offering of common stock in the United States.

Jefferies LLC and Piper Jaffray & Co. are acting as joint bookrunners, according to a company news release.

The offering will have a 15% over-allotment option.

The company will also issue common stock in the form of Chess Depositary Interests in a private placement in Australia.

Proceeds will be used for investments in Unilife's plant, equipment, systems and personnel and for general corporate purposes, including working capital, acquisitions and other business opportunities.

Unilife makes injectable drug-delivery systems and is based in York, Pa.
