UBS to price principal-protected notes linked to Consumer Price Index

Tacoma, Wash., July 3 - UBS AG plans to price 100% principal-protected notes due July 31, 2013 linked to the Consumer Price Index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest will be payable monthly and will equal the year-over-year change in the index multiplied by the multiplier, which is expected to be between 1.3 and 1.45 and will be set at pricing. In each monthly interest period, there will be a floor of 0%.

The notes are expected to price on July 28 and settle on July 31.

UBS Financial Services Inc. and UBS Investment Bank will be the underwriters.
