SM Energy redeems final $104.8 million of 5% notes due 2024

Lexington, Ky., Feb. 14 – SM Energy Co. redeemed the final $104.8 million of its 5% senior notes due 2024 on Feb. 14, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Monday.

The company used cash on hand to fund the redemption.

As a result of the redemption, all remaining obligations of the indenture have now been satisfied and discharged.

SM Energy is a Denver-based energy company focused on exploration, development, and production of oil, gas and natural gas liquids in the state of Texas.
