Samsonite redeems all €14.669 million of floaters due 2010

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Feb. 2 - Samsonite Corp. redeemed its €14.669 million remaining floating-rate senior notes due 2010, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company redeemed the notes at 102 plus accrued interest through Feb. 1.

On Dec. 21, the Denver luggage maker said holders of €85.331 million or 85.33% of its then €100 million of floaters tendered their holdings.

Samsonite said it used cash on hand and borrowings under its senior secured revolving credit facility to finance the redemption.
