Softbank buys back €396 million of 9 3/8% notes in tender

Des Moines, Oct. 4 - Softbank Corp. repurchased about €396 million principal amount of its 9 3/8% euro senior notes due 2011 in a tender offer, according to a company release.

On Aug. 31, the company had offered to repurchase all €400 million of the notes that were then outstanding. The tender ended on Sept. 29.

About €4 million of the notes remain outstanding.

Softbank is a telecommunications company based in Tokyo.
