Malaysia’s Tenaga Nasional plans to sell RM 4 billion 20-year sukuk

Morgantown, W.Va., Sept. 14 – Malaysia’s Tenaga Nasional Bhd. said it plans to issue RM 4 billion of 20-year sukuk in a single tranche.

The sukuk will be issued through 51% owned subsidiary Southern Power Generation Sdn. Bhd.

CIMB Investment Bank Bhd. and Maybank Investment Bank Bhd. are the joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers.

Proceeds will be used to fund project costs.

Tenaga is an electric utility based in Kuala Lumpur.
