Sports Authority sees $6.7 million operating loss for March 2-April 2

Pittsburgh, May 4 – Sports Authority Holdings, Inc. reported a $6.7 million operating loss for the period of March 2 to April 2 on $238.5 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The net loss for the period was $12 million.
In addition, Sports Authority had $44.8 million in cash and cash equivalents as of April 2.
Sports Authority, an Englewood, Colo.-based sporting goods retailer, filed bankruptcy on March 2. The Chapter 11 case number is 16-10527.
