By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, April 7 – SunEdison, Inc. obtained an extension of its exclusive period for soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

Specifically, the company’s exclusive solicitation period was extended through July 28.

The court clarified in the order that no other party may file a competing plan during the exclusive solicitation period.

Based in Maryland Heights, Mo., SunEdison operates renewable power plants. It filed for bankruptcy on April 21, 2016 under Chapter 11 case number 16-10992.
