Stockton, Calif., claims filing deadlines approved by bankruptcy court

Pittsburgh, June 27 - The deadline for filing claims against the City of Stockton, Calif., was set as Aug. 16 by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, according to a notice to bondholders from trustee Wells Fargo Bank, NA.

Retiree health benefit claims do not fall under the Aug. 16 deadline, the notice said. In addition, governmental units have until Sept. 30 to file claims.

Stockton filed for bankruptcy on June 28, 2012 under Chapter 9 case number 12-32118.
