Springfield, Mo., considers refunding offering for public utility debt

New York, April 21 – The City of Springfield, Mo., is considering the issue of refunding bonds for public utility revenue bonds, according to a statement from the city Tuesday.

The offering will be conducted to refund its series 2006 public utility revenue bonds, of which there is $596,515,000 of principal outstanding.

The sale of the bonds is contingent upon market conditions and other factors.
