South Dakota Health to sell $57.32 million Regional Health bonds

New York, July 26 - The South Dakota Health and Educational Facilities Authority is set to sell $57.315 million in series 2010 revenue bonds for Regional Health Obligated Group, according to a preliminary official statement.

The bonds (A1) will be sold on a negotiated basis. Piper Jaffray & Co. is the senior manager.

The maturities have not been set.

Proceeds will be used to refund existing bonds. Those bonds were originally issued to construct, acquire, equip, remodel and renovate the obligated group's main hospital in Rapid City, S.D., as well as to acquire pieces of equipment for the main hospital.

Based in Pierre, S.D., the authority provides funding to school districts and health care facilities. Based in Rapid City, S.D., the obligated group operates hospitals in western South Dakota.
