South Africa seeks to issue dollar-denominated notes

Atlanta, Sept. 9 - South Africa is looking to issue dollar-denominated notes, according to a 434B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Deutsche Bank, Rand Merchant Bank and Standard Bank are the joint leads for the transaction. Investec Bank is the co-lead manager.

The proceeds will be used to repay maturing debt and for general corporate purposes.
