SIGA Technologies operating loss shrinks to $1.51 million in April

Pittsburgh, May 15 – SIGA Technologies, Inc. posted an operating loss of $1.51 million for April on $772,996 in revenue, according to its monthly operating report filed May 15 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The figures showed improvement over the $1.75 million operating loss reported for March on revenue of $447,425.

SIGA’s net loss for April was $2.39 million, narrowing from a $2.54 million March net loss.

The company also reported $103.83 million of cash and cash equivalents as of March 31, up from $95.84 million at the end of March.

Based in New York, SIGA Technologies develops and commercializes solutions for serious unmet medical needs and biothreats. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 16, 2014 under Chapter 11 case number 14-12623.
