Sears Holdings announces intent to close three distribution centers

Pittsburgh, Jan. 18 – Sears Holdings Corp. intends to close three distribution centers, according to a notice filed Friday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The distribution centers that will be closed are located in Manteno, Ill., Wilkes Barre, Pa., and Garland, Texas.

The deadline for objections to Friday’s notice of intent is 4 p.m. ET on Jan. 28.

Closing sales may be held at the distribution centers in question.

Sears is a retailer based in Hoffman Estates, Ill. The company filed bankruptcy on Oct. 15, 2018 under Chapter 11 case number 18-23538.
