Reichhold wins court approval to change name to Reichhold Liquidation

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 5 – Reichhold Holdings US, Inc. received court approval to change its name to Reichhold Liquidation, Inc., according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

According to the motion, the company sold the right to use the Reichhold name as part of the sale of substantially all of its assets to Reichhold, LLC, which was formerly Reichhold Acquisitions Holdings, LLC.

The buyer said it had difficulties registering to do business in some states as a result of the similarity between the new and old names. As a result, it asked the company to change its name to Reichhold Liquidation.

Reichhold supplies resins for the industrial, transportation, construction, marine, consumer and graphic arts markets. It is based in Durham, N.C. The company filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 30, 2014 under Chapter 11 case number 14-12237.
