India’s Rural Electrification offering 10-year dollar green bonds

Chicago, June 29 – Rural Electrification Corp. Ltd. is offering a dollar-denominated issue of 10-year fixed-rate green bonds (expected: Baa3//BBB-), a market source said.

Final price guidance is in the Treasuries plus 170 basis points area, the source added.

ANZ, Barclays, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Mizuho Securities and MUFG are joint bookrunners for the deal.

Proceeds from the notes will be used for lending to renewable energy projects.

Rural Electrification is a New Delhi financer and promoter of rural electrification projects.
