Royal Bank of Scotland to redeem £54.58 million in subordinated notes

Chicago, Jan. 20 – The Royal Bank of Scotland plc announced plans to redeem £54,582,000 million in fixed rate, undated, subordinated notes on March 14.

The notes will be redeemed at par plus interest up to but excluding the redemption date, according to a news release.

Royal Bank of Scotland originally issued £500 million of the notes under its £12 billion euro medium-term note program.

Royal Bank of Scotland is an Edinburgh, U.K.-based retail banking subsidiary of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group plc.
