RBC to price 0% enhanced return leveraged notes linked to S&P 500

New York, Nov. 6 - Royal Bank of Canada plans to price zero-coupon enhanced return leveraged notes due Dec. 4, 2008 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus two times any index gain, capped at a maximum return of between 109% and 111%. Investors will share in losses on the index.

The notes will price on Nov. 20 and settle on Nov. 26.
