Malaysia's RHB Capital to issue RM 500 million of debt

New York, Aug. 4 - RHB Capital Bhd. said it plans to issue a total of RM 500 million of debt.

The bank plans to issue RM 150 million under its commercial paper and medium-term note program and another issuance of RM 350 million of fixed-rate bonds.

The fixed-rate bonds will be issued by Sept. 30. The RM 150 million offering of commercial paper will have a maturity of up to seven years.

Proceeds will be used to refinance existing borrowings and for capital requirements.

ABN Amro has been appointed as the adviser for the program.
