Reliant gets extension on loan

Chicago, March 31 - Reliant Resources Inc. received an extension on its $2.9 billion Orion bridge loan until midnight on Monday. The previous deadline was March 28. All of the participating lenders voted in favor of granting the extension.

Reliant, a Houston energy company, is pursuing the refinancing of $5.9 billion of bank debt.
