Reader's Digest disclosure statement hearing adjourned to Nov. 24

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 20 - Reader's Digest Association, Inc.'s hearing on approval of its disclosure statement related to its plan of reorganization was adjourned to Nov. 24 during a Friday hearing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York., according to an attorney close to the case.

The hearing was originally scheduled for Nov. 4.

As previously reported, the plan confirmation hearing is expected to take place Jan. 13.

Reader's Digest, a Pleasantville, N.Y., publishing company, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 24. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-23529.
