Radnor granted three-month exclusivity extension

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., May 17 - Radnor Holdings Corp. was granted a three-month extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Thursday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company's exclusive plan-filing period was extended to July 17 from April 18 and the solicitation period to Sept. 15 from June 18.

Radnor said previously that the extension is necessary because it spent a majority of its bankruptcy to date selling substantially all of its assets.

Additionally, the company said it needs more time to analyze claims and resolve committee fee issues.

Radnor, a Radnor, Pa.-based foam cup, container and expandable polystyrene bead manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 21, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10894.
