Radnor case conversion hearing continued indefinitely

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 8 - Radnor Holdings Corp.'s May 10 hearing on conversion of its Chapter 11 case to Chapter 7 has been postponed indefinitely, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, Radnor entered a stipulation April 18 under which it agreed to file a plan of liquidation by April 30 in exchange for the U.S. Trustee withdrawing a motion to appoint an examiner for Radnor's Chapter 11 case.

The stipulation also put the case conversion motion on hold until the plan is filed and confirmed.

If the plan, which was filed on April 30, is rejected by the court, a new hearing on the case conversion motion will be scheduled.

Radnor, a Radnor, Pa.-based foam cup, container and expandable polystyrene bead manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 21, 2006. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10894.
