Radnor hearing on sale procedures, DIP facility postponed to Sept. 22

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Eugene, Ore., Sept. 18 - Radnor Holdings Corp's hearing for approval of the bidding procedures for the sale of substantially all of the company's assets and for approval of the company's debtor-in-possession financing has been postponed to Sept. 22, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The hearing was scheduled to begin Monday.

As previously reported, Radnor's official committee of unsecured creditors asked the court on Sept. 12 to postpone the hearing on both motions to Oct. 18 in order to allow for a committee investigation.

Radnor's attorneys were either unavailable Monday or would not comment on whether the postponement is related to the committee's request.

Radnor, a Radnor, Pa.-based foam cup, container and expandable polystyrene bead manufacturer, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 21. Its Chapter 11 case number is 06-10894.
