PTC Seamless Tube requests change to auction, sale hearing date

By Mark Reccek

Bethlehem, Pa., Aug. 17 – PTC Seamless Tube Corp. requested that the auction and sale hearing date for the sale of its assets be rescheduled to a week later, according to a motion filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.

The auction and sale hearing are currently scheduled for Sept. 17. The company is requesting the date be rescheduled to Sept. 24.

According to the motion, the company requests the date be rescheduled to “accommodate the schedules of the debtors’ management, who may otherwise be unavailable on Sept. 17, and a prospective bidder, whose representatives are also unavailable to be in Erie on Sept. 17.”

PTC Seamless is a Wexford, Pa.-based steel tubing mill construction project that filed for bankruptcy on April 26. The Chapter 11 case number is 15-21445.
