By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 4 - Pope & Talbot, Inc. wood products asset business buyer International Forest Products Ltd. has withdrawn its request for enforcement of the asset purchase agreement, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, Interfor alleged in July that Pope & Talbot failed to deliver credits and make post-closing payments to third parties in accordance with the purchase agreement.

Pope & Talbot, a Portland, Ore.-based pulp and wood products company, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 19, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11738.
