Offshore Marine Contractors has case reopened to address claim issues

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Aug. 25 – Offshore Marine Contractors, Inc.’s Chapter 11 case has been reopened to allow for further administration of the case, according to an order filed Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana.

The company said in a motion filed on Friday that the case was administratively closed on Aug. 7.

Offshore Marine said it sought to reopen the case because some objections to claims and applications and/or requests for administrative expense and professional fee claims require the court’s continued consideration.

Cutoff, La.-based Offshore Marine provides offshore, self-propelled, self-elevating liftboats for the petroleum exploration and transportation industries. The company filed bankruptcy on Dec. 4, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-13253.
