Province of Ontario set to price offering of bonds

Lexington, Ky., Jan. 10 – The Province of Ontario is in the market with a planned offering of U.S. dollar-denominated bonds, according to a 424B2 filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The deputy attorney general, the assistant deputy attorney general, the acting assistant deputy attorney general of the province or any solicitor who is an employee of the Crown and seconded to the Legal Services Branch, Ministry of Finance and Shearman & Sterling LLP will serve as legal counsel for the issuer.
Stikeman Elliott LLP (Canadian law) and Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP (U.S. law) will advise the underwriters.
The Bank of New York Mellon is the registrar, fiscal agent, transfer agent and principal paying agent.
Proceeds from the sale will be used for general provincial purposes.
