Oi: Orascom TMT extends alternative plan suggestion period to June 1

Pittsburgh, May 3 – Oi SA received a letter under which Orascom TMT Investments Sarl voluntarily extended the validity of its suggestions for an alternative judicial reorganization plan until June 1, according to a 6-K filed Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Oi is a Rio de Janeiro-based telecommunications service provider. It filed for Chapter 15 bankruptcy in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on June 21, 2016 under case number 16-11791.
