Northern Trust Asset Management names Kochetygova ESG research analyst

Charlotte, N.C., July 13 – Northern Trust Asset Management announced that Julia Kochetygova has joined the company as senior environmental, social and governance (ESG) research analyst.

Based in London, Kochetygova will drive ESG research across Northern Trust’s array of asset class capabilities, according to a news release.

Prior to joining Northern Trust, Kochetygova was head of sustainability indexes at S&P Dow Jones Indices.

“A recent survey by Northern Trust confirmed that over time there will be greater emphasis on ESG factors within the investment process,” said Mamadou-Abou Sarr, global head of ESG investing at Northern Trust.

Northern Trust, a Chicago-based financial holding company, has about $900 billion in total assets under management, including $57.9 billion specifically related to its globally diverse set of ESG screened strategies.
