NV Energy files automatic shelf registration covering debt, stock

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 23 - NV Energy, Inc. filed an automatic shelf registration in an S-3 ASR filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, debt securities, warrants, stock purchase contracts and stock purchase units.

The debt may be structured as convertibles.

The Las Vegas-based holding company will describe in a prospectus supplement how it plans to use the proceeds.
