Northern Illinois Gas files $225 million mortgage bonds shelf

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 25 - Northern Illinois Gas Co. filed a $225 million first mortgage bonds shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Proceeds will be used for debt refinancing and general corporate purposes.
The utility is based in Naperville, Ill.
